Steven Spielberg, under pressure from Darfur activists, may quit his post as artistic adviser to the 2008 Beijing Olympics, unless China takes a harder line against Sudan, a representative of the film director told ABC News.

Ahab asked:

I’ve always wondered…while making international calls…its usually cheaper to call on a land line than to a mobile phone. While this holds true for many countries…again it is not true for some countries like U.S and France.
Why is that so? Is it deliberate politics? Or is it actually expensive. And why in select countries does it not matter at all?
