I am going to be a senior in High School, soon to be applying to a University. I already have some good universities in mind, I plan to major in International Relations with possibly a minor in Economics, Or I might double major with Political Science.
However, I when I get into College what are some ways I can get known in politics.
I know volunteering for a local congressional campaign, for example, is a good idea.

I don’t have to worry about the cost of living, as my salary would be adjusted to an appropriate amount for whatever country I’m in.
I am looking for somewhere with a population that is not too dense. I will be in the country for at least one year, so I would like to go somewhere radically different from the U.S. I feel I could understand most of the important differences between the US and the UK in a few weeks or months.
Places I have considered include Egypt, New Zealand, Russia and the United Arab Emirates.
I am very interested in politics and religion. I also really like performing arts and different foods. In other words, I won’t be picking because of outdoor activities like skiing or hiking. Please tell me where I should go and why!
